i have an 05 450r and changed my sprocket to a 53 tooth
rear.
It has way to much bottom end know, and I'd like to go back closer to stock. c
can I do this by changing the front instead of buying a new rear (fronts are cheaper than the rear)
if so what size front would I need.
I would just like to a tad bit lower than stock

Stock 13/48 is 3.69, you are at 4.07 with a 13/53.
You'd have to use a 15t CS sprocket to even get to 3.53 , so it looks like you'll have to do the rear sprocket thing, I don't know that a 15T will even fit. Doug

thanks

thank you (Doug is it)
I was just being lazy and didnt want to change out the rear again. I thought that the front would be alot easier to change.
oh well, there goes $100 down the drain.

I wound up with a 49t rear on my R. It's only one more tooth, but that along with the Rekluse has allowed me, along with the Rekluse, to get away with murder with that tall first gear. Doug
