    How Many Clicks?

    by UteMachine » Tue Feb 13, 2007 4:42 pm

I am 6'3 245 in riding gear and ride mostly desert and trails. Can someone give me an idea of how many clicks I should have my suspension at(04 CRF 450r)? I know I need beefier springs but they are going to have to wait a few months. I have searched this but could not find clicks for someone around my size. Thanks!

Agent, thanks Brother, I knew I could count on you. I am going to go with that exact set up. Now by full hard that means turn them all the way clockwise and then the appropriate amount of clicks? Thanks again!

    Agent,

I set up the suspension and now I am getting a loud clicking every time I compress the forks. It sounds like the springs. Do I need more oil? What could it be? Thanks!

    I don't know...Ask Smash or Nowazzu.

They are the fork experts on the forum.

Hey I was just about to post this same question. Last week went riding in Ocala Nat'l Forest here in NE Florida. Sand and dirt trails, whoops and high speed sections. Bike was all over the place, friend thought it was me, I let him ride it to educate him, he immediately dumped twice, so I need some settings too bro.
'02 CRF450R I am 6'1" and 245 with stock springs and suspension, and no $ for instant upgrade. Just bought bike 3 wks ago. I will give these settings a try and report back. Thanks for the Big Guy post. [/img]

Problem solved!!!!!!! :D :) :o     ;)

Thank you so much to Nowazzu and Smash. These guys are great guys! I don't drink beer, but a round of drinks on me!

It was the steering stem. I loosened it all up tightened the nut under the top clamps and ...bam... no clicking!! Thanks again. Now I can go back to the ~ suspension settings. I love this site!

    Agent,

I love the settings. We did 40 miles through trails, sand, mud, and whoops. It felt really good. Thanks for the help!
