Rekluse pro questions

I would love to hear from some people that have the rekluse pro on their bike. I have an 03 crf450r and thinking of using it for woods/trails rocky hills, etc. But have some questions.
1. With a rekluse pro will I be able to lug my bike slowly up a steep hill without stalling it???
2. I've never known anyone with a rekluse, is the override a button, etc? or do you just pull clutch lever in and you've overridden the rekluse???
3. Does the override allow you to override the clutch such that you can lock up the back wheel when the bike is not running?
Thanks for all information...

1. yes, you can lug your bike without stalling it...there is a point where the rpm's can drop below the engagement level. this is typically at a point where it the bike would normally stall with standard clutch.
2. override means you manual clutch operation. you can override the "auto" clutch and use the clutch lever as you normally would.
3. not sure exactly what you are asking with this question. you can lock up the back wheel with the autoclutch or with override just by braking hard.

To clarify question 3. I've heard some complaints about the rekluse is that once you have "stalled" on a hill lets say. The back tire does not lock up per say due to the autoclutch. With a normal clutch, if you've stalled on a hill, you let the clutch out the bike is in gear and its like your break is on. But I've heard some complaints witht he autoclutches are when this happens, you don't get that breaking affect once stalled on a hill due to the autoclutch always being engaged, even when the bike is not running.

That's right about the free wheeling, but you do adapt to that. The likelyhood of stalling on the hill is very slim, but of course getting stuck is always a possibility.
In my opinion the Rekluse makes hill climbing easier and more fun than ever, I just love it.
Think about the engine braking you get if you're on a two -stroke, which is little to none. You just adapt to not depending on engine braking if the engine IS stalled (again that's very unlikely) and it works out fine.
The other thing is, you learn very quickly and easily that you do have engine braking when the motors running, you just practice and learn how much throttle you need to keep it engaged and down you go. Once engaged and going down the hill the wheels spinning keeps the clutch engaged and no worries.

I just put the pro in my 450r and was wondering if anyone is adding more oil than the stock recommended .6L?
Also when i installed i had about .015 gap, the guys at rekluse were baffled. Everything check out. So they had me do the break in and i checked it again and it was about .025 so i am closer to the .030 minimum but still off a bit.
any thoughts?

that is odd. i'm assuming it's operating as expected with this gap? i would put more than the .6L just as i put more in my X.
so, what's your initial impressions?

Ken i had purchased the z-start from you for my 450x and LOVE IT!! I also have a 450R and decided to put the pro in it. Just broke it in tonight(pissed the neighbors off) so no news yet but i am sure it will be good.
Just concerned about the gap. I notice it jumping a bit when i drop it into first and finding neutral is not as easy as my X.

that's pretty normal until it's fully run in...let me know what you think after you get a good ride in.

Ken,
I took it out and did the break in and re measured the gap and it was close the the minumum(,025). I called rekluse and shawn told me that as long as it was performing properly that this was ok. He said to give it a couple of rides and then check it again. If it wasn't right then to call him and they could send me out a thinner plate.
I took it for a quick ride down the powerline, hills etc and it is even smoother than my gen 3 rekluse on my 450x.
