    DMC Exhaust questions

    by shelton88 » Thu Dec 14, 2006 8:57 pm

I recently put a DMC Afterburner Silencer and Headpipe on. the stock head pip had a major dent and needed forest approved setup. The new headpipe is not equiped with a heat shield and the stock one is wrong contour. Any recomendations?

Havn't heard much on the DMC exhausts, Most aftermarkets headers don't have heat shields, you may be able to find one but chances are its going to be No. Unless its a low boy system you shouldn't be rubbing up against it while riding, if its a low boy, well get used to buying pants and boots, I installed a Low boy header and burned the crap outta my gear. If its the normal diameter pipe you might want to consider header wrap, cheap way to lower temps.

    Somebody around here made one.

    It may have been OFG?
