    Bent shifter shaft???

    by jtweider » Mon Jun 26, 2006 10:44 am

My sons crf100 started dripping oil so I took it to the dealer. I thought it was a blown seal but now I get a call that it is a bent shifter shaft. He has never gone done hard enough to even bend the shift lever. Has anybody had issues with this??? Thanks Jerry

Seems a little weird. What are they trying to get for the repair? The shift axle/shaft is easy to replace and about a $40 part. No more than an hour labor and a gasket. Tranny and coolant for fluid refill.

The shop called and said the part was 197.00. I cant believe that so I will have to call when they open and get more info. Jerry
