my daughters xr100 can be hard to start if it gets flooded...no problem right? well, it gets flooded VERY easy. i typically don't use full choke...and as surprising as it may sound i don't kick it hard...just smooth. no use of throttle but i do take up any "slack" in the cable.

if it's not properly jetted definitly get it jetted right and that will help a lot.

My son has a CRF 100 and we have never had a problem staring it. Ken is on the money when he says don't kick it hard kick it smoth. What part of the country do you live in? Here in the south west I find that the center choke position workd well in the summer followed by a warm up period of about ten min. In the colder months I use full choke with a two to three min warm then go to mid choke for about ten min. Runs great.
    Good luck
