BBR Rev Box and Jetting Questions

Hi, I just installed the BBR rev box and the bike ran real bad. A lot of popping off idle and through the mid throttle. Before the rev box, I was running a powercore 4 pipe and a main jet of 102.5. No other mods.

I moved the needle one click leaner and that helped some.

Does anyone know if the rev box mod by itself would require jeeting changes? If so, what kind?

Thanks, Chris

cbesing...welcome to the group. if you were running stock jetting you would likely want to go richer not leaner.

I think you went the wrong way. I would richen it up buy raising the needle (lowering the clip position) and move the fuel screw out in half turn increments to make it richer. The poping is usually a lean sign…
Your running a 102 main and stock pilot. That is not much bigger than the stock 98 main. Is there a higher flow air filter in it or stock?

Thanks for the info. THe only mods before the rev box were the 102 jet and the powercore 4 exhaust. No mods to the air box of filter. The reason I went leaner on the needle is first i went one click richer but the plug went totally black and the problem didnt get better so I went the other way.
