One of the things wrong with it was the carb needed a good overhaul after sitting for over a year. It ran rough when I picked it up and gas leaked from the float overflow.
So, one of the first things we did was completely flush the fuel tank, clean the petcock, replace the fuel line and rebuilt the carb. The bike ran fine after that, but the float overflow still leaked and the petcock didn't seem to properly stop all flow at 'off'. I tried to adjust the float but no dice. So, I bought a new petcock and (thinking that Chinese rebuilt kit I got the first around must have had inferior parts) new OEM Honda float and float valve. Put it all together and everything seemed fine for a week or so.
Then it starting leaking out of the overflow again. The petcock is fine when I test it (so was the old one

But the float overflow still leaks on occasion, mostly after riding the bike for 10-20 minutes. Sometimes it doesn't leak at all, other times it is a steady drip. I have played with the float position three times and the valve is working. I cannot find any debris or particles or anything like that, the parts all look great and work as designed when I inspect them.
The bike runs great and this is only a minor inconvenience (making sure to shut off the secondary valve each time she stops) but it is frustrating that I cannot make the issue go away permanently. I just wondered if anybody else has experienced the same 'gremlins' and if so, how did you kill them?
Thanks
