HI, i'M GOING TO GUESS THAT SOMEONE LET THE BIKE SIT WITHOUT DRAINING THE GAS OUT OF THE CARB. WELL NOW YOU HAVE TO DISASSEMBLE THE CARB AND THOROUGHLY CLEAN OUT ALL OF THE PASSAGE WAYS AND JETS. TO DO THIS PROPERLY, THE CARB MUST BE DISASSEMBLED TO IT'S BASIC SUBASSEMBLIES AND SOAKED IN A SOLVENT DESIGNED FOR CARBURETORS FOR SEVERAL HOURS. THEN BLOWN OUT WITH COMPRESSED AIR. AT THIS POINT I WOULD SERIOUSLY THINK ABOUT RE-JETING THE CARB WITH LARGER JETS ( PILOT, MAIN ). NEXT, AND THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, MAKE SURE THAT THE FLOAT HEIGHT IS SET TO FACTORY SPECS. THIS IS SOMETIMES OVERLOOKED AND RESULTS IN LESS THAN EXPECTED PERFORMANCE. REASSEMBLE AND START WITH THE FUEL MIXTURE SCREW 2 TURNS OUT. THAN ADJUST AFTER THE BIKE IS FULLY WARMED UP ON LEVEL GROUND. IN CLOSING, REMEMBER TO DRAIN THE CARB AFTER RUNNING THE BIKE. IT ONLY TAKE A MINUTE AND YOU CAN POUR THE GAS BACK INTO THE GAS TANK. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE FACILITIES TO DO THE ABOVE THEN THINK ABOUT HAVING IT DONE BY A PRO. IF YOU WANT TO DO A POOR MAN SPECIAL THAN BUY SOME CARB SPRAY, DISASSEMBLE THE CARB, CLEAN IT OUT AS BEST AS YOU CAN BEING SURE TO USE THE PLASTIC STRAW (USE EYE PROTECTION )AND SPRAY OUT ALL OF THE PORTS AND PASSAGE WAYS. REASSEMBLE, REPLACE ANY GASKETS THAT LOOK BAD SET THE FUEL MIXTURE SCREW 2 TURNS OUT TO START. THEN AFTER WARM UP ADJUST FOR BEST IDLE. IT'S AWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE SOMETHING AROUND IN CASE OF A FIRE. GOOD LUCK AND LT US KNOW HOW YOU MAKE OUT.
