    Advice please.

    Hi from Oz,

hoping you guys can help us.
Not having much luck finding info in Australia......so if you can point us in the right direction, perhaps we will 'get the job done' !!!

Son currently rides a 2004 CRF80F......great bike, super reliable, very 'rideable'.
He now wants power......more power.....much more power LOL.

So, what do you suggest to gain maximum power from this bike, without touching engine internals (if possible)?

Is a bigger carby & new exhaust system going to make a noticable difference ? Is that all that is needed?

What kind of power increase will we see?

Will any changes to the bike make it less reliable?

If you feel we need to bore engine etc.....what are your idea's ?

Can you recommend anyone in Oz that does this kind of work?

Sooo many questions we know.....sorry.....but getting desperate.

    Thanks heaps :D

hey there. :D putting pipes on and a bigger carb would be a good start...if ur gunna do that put a k&n filter or a twin air or some type of high flow filter...
this will give u a noticable improvement on the bottom end as well as the top end... also get a bbr rev box... and id put the hot cams in it as well but thats only if ur willing to tear into the engine...

realy just start off with a new pipe a carb a k&n filter and a rev box...that will liven the bike up awsomely. but be prepared that u may have to play with a carb a bit to get the engine to run perfectly....

and then later on as ur son gets bored of the power the modes have given it...then prbly just get rid of the bike and go for somthing bigger...ud be better off going bigger rather than tear into the engine and spend lots of money in hotcams and boring....its usually not realy worth the money spent...

    hope i helped u out a lil bit :?:
