Today I bought a 2004 Crf100F for 100$ from a friend I was told all that was wrong with it was a blown topend was this a good price? And how much would it cost to rebuild the topend and what parts are in the "topend", also i looked at the bbr 120 big bore kit for $300 dollars. if i added the kit would there still be stuff in the topend that needs replaceing. oh by the way if i sound like an idiot lol its because im knew to the whole dirtbike riding thing

Best thing to do is go to your local dealer and buy yourself the factory manuel for your bike. Bring it home and do an inventory of the parts you actually have and that will give you a good starting point. So then you can see what the factory calls for for tools that you will need for the job and the tolerances for the rebuild. then you can also decide if this is something you want to do your self.
Good luck, these bikes are a ton of fun to ride and you'll have a blast working on it too.
