Not enough back pressure. You'd lose your low end.

Do you think that an exhaust for a 150R or a 250R is gonna be less?

Give it a shot. Worse case, put your stocker back on.

Put a crease or bend in the header, weld some baffles in the can, anything to restrict some of the flow.

??? What ??? Do you intend to cut your stock header and weld it to a larger pipe? :?
Or do you mean to say that you need to cut your stock pipe off so that you can experiment with a bigger pipe?

In either case if this does not work you will be spending the $200 on a new pipe (in addition to money you spent on you experiment) or you will be selling your pipe-less bike. :-({|=

I commend you for wanting to try. I think it is a mistake for you to leave your self with no way to ride because you no longer have a working pipe.
