    Crash & Burn!

    by rideredcrf100 » Mon Dec 04, 2006 4:43 pm

Today I went to 5-Mile pass,I was doing pretty good for about the first 15 miles of our trip.I came to a straight away and naturally went wide open down it,out of nowhere came a rabbit.I tried to swerve but instead ran into a ditch.I went from 55 mph to 0 in 10 feet.I ripped out a 8 foot tree and banged up my upper shins real good. After that crash I want to get some knee and shin protection. What do you guys wear and what would you reccomend for someone on a budget.

Rule number one: Never kill yourself trying to avoid injury to small animals!

On the cheaper end of protection, I have the EVS item:

    http://www.evs-sports.com/products/prod ... ?prodID=17

Ken doesn't have them listed, but I am sure he will if you want some.

They are comfortable and do the job.

I have arc knee gaurds, they have pivot points and move well. I have evs elbow guards but the softer ones because they feel better on me and not so restricting.

BTW unless a 1,000 pound grizzly is in front of you, Just lift your front tire up. Animal lover or not you shouldn't have to die for them.

You should have hit it!... I was just on a site called 'rabbitsonly.com' and there was a funny bunny on there making some noise about knocking some guy off his bike and into a ditch... was that you?
I laughed at first but then I thought... where will this all end?
