There is no SCREEN. He's refering to removing the snorkel from the top of the air box. Have your Dad help you.

I just put a CHM (chmexhaust.com) pipe on my kids bike 2003 xr 100 and a 105 main jet. The bike hits harder now. pipe is nice and reasionably priced. It is a bit richat this moment but i am waiting for the airbox filters ordered on this site and the 38 pilot jet. I will keep you posted!

I seriously think you need to get your Dad involved before you make significant changes to your bike. Also buy a maintenance manual. That would answer a lot of the simple questions you keep asking.

I bought my son a FMF Power Core 4 Exhaust ($169.00) for Christmas. The fit was perfect and the install took less than 10 minutes. Best of all, you still use the stock exhaust guard so there's no risk of any nasty burns. It sounds great too. He smiles ear to ear every time he revs it up.

I seriously doubt anyone will fall for your lame muffler bearing joke. By the way there is a fuel screw on the carb. On the 05' and UP it was changed to a "D" shaped fastener. Some people call it a mixture screw.

You are correct about the screen. It's called a back fire screen and it's inside the filter housing. I removed the course and fine screens to free up some more air to the carb. It was a pain in the @$$ and time consuming. I also got stabbed and cut several times by the screen material. Once it was removed, I ran a thin strip of JB weld around the end caps to cover any screen material left behind. Check out my garage photos for a close up of the end result.
