what can i do without spending any money to tune my bike ....anything from changin the fuel to changing the factory setting on the bike....also i live in florida so there hardly is elivation... thank you

there's nothing you can do without spending "some" money. for very little money you can swap out the stock air filter for a more free flowing filter, remove or modify the exhaust tip to let more air to flow, and then re-jet. these are the least expensive mods.

Remove the airbox snorkel(free), remove the exhaust baffle(free), buy a Uni or TwinAir filter($20-$25) and rejet your carb($0-$15). My rejet cost $0, my dealer gave me a 110 main and I moved the clip on the stock needle down one position.
The best mod you can do for your bike for the littlest amount of money.

on taking that airbox snorkle out do you need to put somethin in its place to fill the gap or is that the whole reason for takin it out ?

just take it out n leave it out. u dont have to put any thing in its place.

is the snorkle the weird crushed tube looking thing on the bottom of the airbox, and if it is and u took it off, wouldn't dirt and stuff get into the airbox easier, and a question, how do u clean the stock airfilter?

No, that's a drain hose, the snorkel is on the top of the airbox under the seat. It is rectangular in shape with 2 holes in it. Stick your fingers in the holes and pull it out. To clean the filter get some filter cleaner from your local dealer and follow the instructions.

on cleaning the air filter...don't be tempted to use gas...it can break down the foam and adhesives in the filter. if you can't get air filter cleaner get some kerosene.

You can also remove the backfire screen in the airbox for an even more free flowing intake.

taking off the snorkel will leave a big open hole won't it and if it does would that be bad for it, and won't your filter like melt if u take and the backfire screen and it does backfire? just wondering don't know a lot about bikes yet just what i pick up

No taking out the snorkle will not damage the engine. All that it does is allow more air to flow through the carb and into the combustion chamber, more air = more power, jus rememeber you'll have to rejet. As long as you keep your airfilter clean you'll have no problems. In extreme cases the filter can be damaged from a backfire if the backfire screen has been removed, but i have the screen out of my 150 and my 250 and i've had the 250 backfire really bad a few times and my filter is still fine. So in my eyes its a risk im willing to take.
