Baffle mod... What's the magic number?

I want to mod the baffle to my son's 05' CRF150. I am going to do the power-up kit some time later this year but in the mean time he wants to get a meaner sound like the big thumpers and I'm not going to dish out $300+ for a pipe. I've read many treads on baffle mods, removing it drilling holes etc. I would opt not to completely remove the baffle even after the I open the air box and rejet. I prefer to add holes for more out flow. Has anyone experimented with how many hole, what size & where to place them, sides or the end or both? I don't want it to back fire. Sorry guys I know this topic is gettin' tired.
Thanks for the imput!

I just installed the $30 thrust nozzle from Powroll. It's not as wicked cool as the $300 pipe from BBR but it does sound great and with the air box mods (free) and $10 jets recommended on Powroll's website the bike revs much quicker and sounds like a big bike now. I opened up my kid's 50's the same way and the little bikes actually sound much better than a stock 150 as well.....

Again, probably not as great as a $300 pipe, but you could spend the $270 dollars on gas to go ride...
