Yes I did!. I used CRF250/450 and CR85 parts to convert my 230. For the 150 I would look for a complete CR85 rolling chassis and pirate the crap out of it (front end, rear shock, rear disc system, and all the brackets; its all there). I don't usually like to refer anyone to the other side but there is some good info on Thumper Talk re using CR85 parts to upgrade the CRF150f. For anything else, this is the place. BTW If you'd like a step by step How To (with pix) on the rear disc conversion, PM me and I will email it to you.

I just picked up a 150f for my girl... she is an amputee below the knee on both legs...and she rides like a champ! I would love any info you could give mr on the cr85 conversion... the suspension on the 150f is not going to be sufficient for long, but it is the perfect size for her and the e-start is a necessity.

the rear disk conversion is a priority because I am going to put the rear brake on the handle bars, and it is much easier to do with a disk than a drum. again i appreciate any info you have.

I'll send you a pm with my email address... if anyone else reading this has any tips for me, a would appreciate that as well.

Got the PM. The 230 rear disc is a little bit different than the the 150F as the 230, 250 and 450Xs all use an 18" rear wheel. It makes the conversion pretty straight forward using the brake system and rear wheel from those bikes. The 230 swing arm is modified very easily to accept the rear caliper hanger and the oem axle is retained using sleeves to adapt it for use in the 250/450 hub. As I noted in my last CRF150FB post I am looking at the 150R for a rear disc conversion on the 150F as the big wheel R version and 150F share the same size rear wheel. I have had some trouble with pix not attaching to the HOW TO that I have but will give it a try. If all else fails I can send you hard copies via snail mail.

No rush, just curious. I'm really thinking a small wheel 150R and flywheel weight/Rekluse will be the way to go, but it still won't have the electric start. I've seen a few smaller women/girls riding them so it should be ok. I still really like the idea of a modified 150F though.

From what I read in my research on this project the CRF150R has the same diameter rear axle as the 150F. Swappiing that rear wheel (150RB)and the disc brake system utilized from it should be a piece of cake. These parts appear to be readily available on ebay.

I'm looking at swapping 17" 150r sumo wheels onto my 150f. Anyone know if the 150r and 150rb share the same hubs?

Well, my plans have hit a dead end. I acquired a 150rb swingarm, brake system, and wheels to swap onto the 150f. The suspension linkage pivot mount is offset about 20mm to the right on the 150r/rb swingarm, so a full rear end swap is a no-go. Spacers are needed for the front wheel, but that should be an easy fix. The 150r rear wheel will fit the 150f swingarm, provided you fab up an antirotation bracket for the caliper, and come up with a mounting solution for the pedal/master cylinder.

That all said, I'll be listing my whole 150rb sumo setup for sale if anyone is interested.

Wait! Before you sell all that stuff and throw in the towel. Take the caliper slide piece off of the 150R swing arm and weld/have it welded onto the 150F swing arm. The reservoir mount is a piece of cake and you simply modify the OEM 150F brake pedal. You have everything you need to do what you want and its not that big a deal. I've done 3 of theses conversions. Standby I will do some digging and get right back to you. In the mean time do a search here for this posting... CRF150FBW Project by me. It has pictures of 2 of mine.

This guy used my process for his conversion. http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/101410 ... ry12279774.
You can see how simple the rear brake reservoir can be. Doesnt need to be fancy. Here are pictures of how I did the conversions with various wheels CR and CRFs. http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/972382 ... conversion
Using the 150R wheel is even easier because of the common rear axle diameter. Dude! Make it happen. The rear disc conversion has opened a whole new world of possiblities. I used the SM wheels off of a CRF230M to build a street S/M
