    428 chain

    by motokid54 » Wed Aug 03, 2005 8:18 am

I reclently had to replace my front sprocket b/c I wore the teeth down to nothing I think it is b/c of my stiff chain so im going to get rid of that and I want a 428 chain they say it will give you mor horsepower due to the less rotating mass. and as long as im getting a new chain Im going to get a 50t rear sprocket. Does a 428 chain require a different sprockets than a 520 and if they do I havent seen a place to buy them. Thanks for any info you have.[/url]

If you go with a 428 setup you will need a chain and both sprockets. A 428 chain has smaller links. Right out of the BBR catalog "recommended gearing for a 428 conversion 15T/55T."

    Cheers
