First off, Welcome to the site!!!

The R4 is a great pipe.

You must be doing something wrong as they list only one pipe for 2003-2007.

The engine did change slightly in 2006 as they added electric start and got rid of the kickstarter.

I wonder if that could be the difference.

What fitment problems are you having, specifically?

We put one on our 2006 230F and it fit and worked great.

    We had no issues.

Is the gasket you refer to a round copper crush gasket?

Like number 2 in this picture?

Does your header look like this one?

    How far off is it??

Is it too big? holes spaced too far apart?

    Does it have a part# 539 or a #540??

Maybe wait until Monday and fire off a phone call to White Bros and see what they say.

    Telephone: (714) 692-3404

    E-Mail: sales@whitebrothers.com

    The # 539 is for the CRF 150F (03-05)

    The # 540 is for the CRF 230F (03-07)

I know BBR shows a different part # for their 06 pipe.

So there must be a difference between 05 and 06.

    Hello,

I too have this exhaust system and it fits great. The problem I am having is the tuning. in order to get the bike to run well with no lag at at the throttle, I must turn the fuel screw out almost 4 turns (which is far too loose... it seems like it is going to wiggle loose if I go for a ride). Is this an issue with the jetting? Currently my bike has the stock jets in the carb. Does anyone know what the correct jet/jets to use with this pipe would be? I am hoping someone knows the correct jet size for this pipe so that the bike will run at its best performance without having to turn the fuel screw out so far (manuel calls for 1.5 to 2 turns out). I tried to get in touch with white bros, although they went out of business and everything has been discontinued and their are no phone numbers to call. Any info would be much appreciated!

You need our Power UP Jet Kit and adjustable fuel screw.
