    Chain Conversion

    by Vee5 » Sun Oct 14, 2007 9:55 am

Has anyone done the 428 chain conversion on their 150? Seems to make sense that the 520 "O" ring chain would sap alot of power from such a little motor. Curious to know what kind of results anyone has had.
    Thanks.

    i wouldn't do it...

the 520 o-ring chain lasts longer, and is tougher the the 428 non-o-ring chain.

seems like i heard someone else on here say that they had done the mod, and it robbed too much top-end power, and that they went back to the 520 and changed to a 15T front sprocket, and 51T rear sprocket.

there are many other ways to increase power and "snap" to the 150, alot of them cheaper than this mod.
