Probably a stupid question, but what kind of results do you have if you pull the snorkel without rejetting? Is it pointless to do this until you rejet?

Yes, pointless. The bike is lean already from the factory, pulling the snorkel will make it leaner.(Not enough fuel in the air/fuel mixture) When you remove the snorkel you need to increase the size of the jets to allow more fuel with the increased amount of air entering the carb.
