I have head alot of confusion on whether or not the power up needle fits in the 06 150f carb, Most have said that it does not and you have to use a washer in order to raise the needle.

Since i have just attempted this on a friends 06 i can make you all aware that the power up needle does work in the 06 150f carb. We rejetted to a 115main a 42 pilot and the 150f power up needle This setup was used at sea level in low temperatures with great succes combines with air box mods and a custom exhaust.

on a stock motor i would suggest one size smaller main as your starting point.

    Good luck with your jetting

I used the washer as an "instead" of. I was getting ready to try, but decided to go with a big bore and a bigger carb. This is good news for my friend. I have one question as I am at sea level also, how many turns out on the fuel screw did you do. When I used the 42 pilot I couldn't get my plug any color other than black. I ended up with just a 115 and a 40 with two turns out. It was a pain just to get the screw all the way in to see how far to take it out. Also did you use another fuel screw, moded the orginal, or make a tool.

Thanks for being the ginny pig on this one.

we ended up at 1.5 turns on the fuel screw and we started a 1.75 turns but it was too rich

and we made a tool for the original
