    CRF 230F Uncorking/Rejetting

Bought an '06 CRF 230F cheap a while back which has baffle removed, spark arrester tube still in, air box insert still in place but Im unsure if it has been rejetted.
It runs well and I'm not after more power as it suits the riding I use it for - trails and mucking around with kids in dry 25 - 35degC temps at only a little above sea level.
Does this uncorked bike HAVE TO BE rejetted, air box insert removed etc to preserve the engine or not.
Hours of google, forum and YouTube searching has left me still unsure as there are so many different opinions out there (none seem to suit my situation) and many trying to turn this fun little trailbike into some kind of race horse it just ain't.
    Cheers

    Hi Migga,
If the bike is running well you would have to think it is close to the right jetting.
Pull the plug and check what colour it is. If dark brown to black probably OK. If it is white to dark grey then you might have to rejet. Having the airbox insert still in means you can probably get away with leaner jetting as it is the limiter on how much air goes into the motor.

It starts,it runs,it gets to where all CRFs can get to without the valve or valve plate dramas

Cheers mate. Just checked the plug thats had around 10hrs ride time on it and it's black/grey👍🏻.
If it runs well and ain't broke, don't fix it I reckon.
