I want to remove the retaining clip that hold the shifter plate on but I don't know the correct size pliers to buy. I know the actual retainer clip is a 12mm from the info I found but what size are the holes? I checked the local auto parts website and they list it by the hole size like .070, .038 etc. Anyone have any ideas what size will fit the tiny holes?

Thanks for the info Ken. I saw this type on a website of an autoparts store down the street from me. Maybe I should try something like that. I guess I have nothing to lose and everything to gain. At least I'll have a variety to choose from. One of them should fit I would think.

also, if it's a bit tight you can always file it down with a file or sandpaper...been there done that! ;-)

Picked up one of these today on the way in to work. $14.99 (plus tax of course). Almost exactly like the one shown. Thanks again for the help. I'll try it out tomorrow... :D
