Has anyone ever painted rims black. well i'm getting new black ones from excel,but i just wanted to know how it would look like before so i painted mines

Could've just posted a pic of your bike and one of us could've Photoshopped it for you. Alot less time, money and work.

those wheels look great how much does it cost to have em painted like that or is does it cost less to buy new rims

I haven't but after seeing those I just might but funds are a little low at the moment that is why I'm selling my stock front end

my brother in-law works at denmak powder coating,and had them powder coated for me at no charge,then some small shop put them back together for me.

my brother in-law said his not sure,but i called
Poter Powder Coating (714) 956-2010 and they said $100 bucks would take care of it just taking the outer rings with no spokes they will clean and spray them black,then just the cost of respoking them, maybe for everything your looking at $250 at the most.....depending on how much they will charge for the respoking...or you can just do it your self not that hard i've heard...

I really like your fork guards do you recall what type they are and whre you picked them up?

yeah i do rember because i made them out of 2 inch pvc pipe from home depot and some hose clamps i'll remove one send you a pic...close up! so you can see how easy it is to make them....

You did a great job on your guards. They look store bought. I will try to make myself a pair this weekend. Thanks for the pics they will be a huge help!

yeah just get the 2 inch pvc then cut it right down the middle. then you'll have a left and right then measure and notch out the edges. the hard part is going to be making the bracket, i used an electrical conduit clamp then just made the slots for the hose clamp...good luck!
