I made one for my wife's Big Gun out of the old, stock heat quard. I basically turned it over, cut off the excess, drilled a new hole, filed off the sharp edges, and touched up the paint.

    Here is a pic:

    Image
    Kim's: 04 250X
    13/51 with +11
    Main Jet: 138
    Air Screw: 2.5 Turns

    Kathy's: 04 230F
    13/48 sprockets
    Main Jet: 132
    Air Screw: 1.5 Turns

    Common:
    Pilot Jets: 42
    Stock Needles: 4th Pos
    No Screens or Baffles
Open Air Boxes, Twin Air Filters

I fabbed up some clamps out of 6061 Aluminum to mount the stock exhaust heat shield to the White Bros R4 pipe. No more burned pants.

Now she'll have to wear them out to get a new pair!!!

This is what I wrapped around my pipe, also made a patch for my burned pants. Now I have double protection. I just asked the bike shop for heat wrap, there is no brand name and it was about $50.00 for a roll double the size in the picture. Lots of other uses for the left over wrap.

It's been on our crf150 for two years without any problems. I think it's a White Bros. exhaust
