I wanted to say thanks to CRFs only and all the members on here who make finding information about our bikes so easy and post all the great tips and tricks. I found the forum several weeks ago while doing a google search to trouble shoot the popping issue with my brand new 2012 450X. After reading the board I was able to determine the bike needed to have the exhaust and air box opened up and have a JD jet kit and RD fuel mix screw installed.Needless to say after the few short hours the tasks required the bike is running like a bear and NO MORE popping..

thanks for the positive feedback. it's great to hear these types of experiences. it's amazing how much of a difference it makes opening up the air box and getting the carb jetted correctly.
