    HELP!!! with Scotts stabilizer mount

    by amnt » Sat Dec 16, 2006 4:02 pm

I have just purchased the Scotts stabilizer with the BRP sub mount for my 250X. I placed the mounting hardware on the frame (the tank holes match up) but the gas tank will not sit on the bike. It is seated in the rear cradle but will not sit down on the frame. The Scotts mounting hardware is in the way. The tank mounting lip interferes with the hardware and I can not find anything in the instructions that helps with this issue. Has anyone had this problem? The Scotts stabilizer will not do me much good if I can't ride the bike!

Can you grind the tank a little?

I found another piece of hardware that makes the tank work. It was covered up by all of my body parts. My bad, thank you for your reply but it all goes together now.
