    The Bubba Scrub

    by Logan#925 » Fri Feb 11, 2005 7:13 pm

I'm sure that everyone in here at least 90% of us have seen bubba stewart do his scrub that is one of the most incredible things i've ever seen in my life but thats besides the facts he wrote and article in Transworld motocross tthat id like to pass on to you and tell you it is hard but i can do it to some extent but not like bubba.

    TRANSWORLD ARTICLE:LEARN THE BUBBA SCRUB
    written by james stewart[bubba]

Getting Set Up- To start with i like to run my tires with a pressure that will let me slide around a little more than most people do.Experiment with different amounts of air in your tube until you have a good traction of traction and sliding.Once you know your bike will slide off the face a little, hit the jump at the oppistie angle your going to fly once airbourne. If your going to lean the bike right in the air approach the lip angling slightly toward the left.

THE SNAP-Just before you leave the face turn the wheel back towards the right. This will cause your bike to whip back towards the direction you want to fly in the air.As you turn the front wheel it will begin to slide or wash-out. This will feel really weird at first but after you practice it for a while, you start to know just how far you can safely slide it out before crashing or losing control. Grip the bike hard with yor knees and lower body, putting more emphasis and weight on the oppistie side your scrubbing on. For example if im scrubbing on the left i put more weight on the right side of the bike to keep it stable. By flicking the bars the other wayon take-off your bike will automattically straighten itself out in the air. Once flying just concentrate on landing straight and getting back on the gas. Good Luck and be careful it isnt as easy as it looks.

it also says that it is easier on a 2 stroke but at glen helenbubba did it on a 4 stoke so prove em wrong guys

    there it is,

sounds so easy doesn't it...that what makes the pros the pros...taking something very difficult and making it look easy.

Do you think this has anything to do with Bubba's broken arm? I saw the tape and the bike just bounced him off. I can do that without trying anything fancy.

It would be nice if he can stay healthy for a season and see him run in the 250 class. I've read that a lot of people pick him to give RC a run for his money.

I really rthink even though Chad beat RC this weekend bubba and RC are the best riders alive and i would say that when the outdoor season comes that we will have a show out front or at least i hope so because i know bubba is fast but he gonna throw it around in rough sections and thats when he'll probaly hurt himself again. But you know if he does stay heatly he is the biggest contender to give RC a run for his money for sure.
