BillyWho funnel for the 450X?

Anybody know if one will ever be made or if there is any other alternative besides cutting up a milk carton?

Time for another fluids change on the X. Are there still no specialty funnels available for catching drained fluids on the 450X?

Any leads are greatly appreciated.

Here's a device I use for oil changes:

Since that post, I've added a 150r and 250x to the stable.

For the 150r it works great for both engine and tranny. The tube goes into the dipstick hole easily and gets about 98% of the oil. For the tranny, I laid the bike on its right side, and was able to get the smallest tube into the tranny hole and suck the oil out. Got it all except for a few drips when I put the bike upright.

On the 250x, the engine oil was the same as the 150r. However, on the tranny side I could not get the smallest tube into the drain hole, so I'm looking for a way to more easily facilitate that as well.

Thanks for the reply. I had always written off those vacuum tube things off as not applicable but I have never considered laying the bike on its side and going in through the drain hole before. That is pretty clever. But yes, the tranny drain hole on the 450x is very small as well (M6 bolt, I think).

Any other suggestions from out there? By the way, I also have a Baja Designs skid plate that I don't like to remove, so there's even less open real estate in the oil and tranny drain/filter areas.

Anything other than cut up milk cartons and old towels to catch the drips?

clean the case so duct tape will stick to the case. lay the bike on it's side, drain side up. using duct tape create a "drain channel" that will drain and clear the frame/skid plate. do it for both the engine and trans. then lift the bike up, lean it on the kick stand and remove the drain bolts. once drained, reinstall drain bolts, place a couple paper towels in the "drain channel" to control what oil is left there and remove the duct tape.

Nice job on your funnel, MotoSicko...much better than my hacked up milk carton. I wonder if the same could be done from a HP4 gallon container. That might be a working solution for some of my other bikes.
