Consistent oil changes and make sure that you keep that air filter clean!

About how often should I change the oil? And about how often should I replace the air filter?

change the oil as often as you can and i'd say 7hrs maximum of running the oil (or until it starts to go black and break down) the cleaner and fresher the oil the better.

only replace the airfilter if it starts breaking like the glue comes apart and don't clean the airfilter with petrol/gas as it will destroy the filter

When it comes to changing your oil, you have to keep tabs on your hrs, like using an hr meter and know how long it been.. I am a bit of an over doer, I change mine alot on both side engine and trans. Now you can wait a bit more on the trans side like every other Oil and Filter do the tranny side.

Its always getting fibers from the clutch mixed into the oil. Just use a good quality Motorcycle Oil. Synthetic or blends are usually better in extreme conditions.

Get a couple Air filters and rotate them out, so your not messing with a dirty filter when you want to get out and ride. then when your putting the Battery Tender on your ride always check out your filter, make sure its clean and still tacky with filter oil and your good... having a clean one on hand make changing quick and simple.
