| I just picked up a set of the WC radiator braces. How well do these guards protect from side impacts? Any good or bad points experience with this braces? |

They don't.
They offer a slight amount of bendback resistance and that's about it.
They are very marginal.
I recommend you get some Flatlands or UniBiker's so you don't get stranded. |

I did quite a bit of research on this before I invested. I decided on the Flatland Racing guards as they provided front impact protections, side impact protections, and I hate to admit it, I have tested both and they work! I give the Flatland Radiator Guards a 10+! |

Many thanks for the info. I just installed the Flatlands guards last night, huge difference.
Is it possible to use the Works connection braces with the Flatlands guards? |

Since the Works Connection braces are junk why does CRFS sell them?
I can't see selling my customers junk. We sold a pump a few years back and the person that made them wasn't warrantying them the way they should have. After a number of warranty issues we did away with them. I couldn't see myself selling them to customers if they were not going to be happy with them. I kept the page up on my site, but I referred them to a better pump.
OR maybe something on the Works Connection page that said "Looking for a little extra support, how about Flatland, Unabiker, or Moose Radiator Guards". Then have a hyper link to them on that page. It will also give you 3 more hits on the search engines. |

I think the reason for the WC "braces" are for the MX racers. They are definitely the lightest on the market. They do not claim to be rad guards, only braces.
The problem is that some are familiar with the quality of WC and think they are getting a heavy duty rad guard when it's only a lightweight brace.
When used for their intended purpose, they are great. When used to play in the desert and rocks and trees, they don't cut the mustard. |
