Hey everyone, I'm running the brp triple clamp with the cycra hand guards mounting on the triple clamp on a crf 450x, curious if anyone has this setup and how you may have bolted on the headlight, having some space issues, tried mounting on the inside of the headlight bracket but still didn't work out that well.. the mount for the triple clamp seems to take up to much room!!

I ended up mounting the headlight bracket on the outside of the triple clamp mount, which seemed to solve the problem, I crash a lot so I hope this doesn't cause any issues....

I had to grind about 1/6-1/8 off the clamp and also do you have the CRFX mounts they are the one`s you need If you go to the sit and look up triple clamp mount you will find a blue arrow at the top click on to that and a box will drop down and it says CRFX mounts. I ordered the mounts and they still needed some mod work but after gringing them alittle they fit good.http://store.cycraracing.com/frmoon.html

if anyone else runs into this problem:
You don't have to grind off anything. It's the same theory of mounting handguards that has perplexed so many. I've put that identical set-up on myself, and on my buddies 250X,Applied and BRP.
The secret is you don't thread in the number/headlight plate in unless the triple clamp bolts are very loose, left side and right side.
With them loose there's all kinds of play for the inner handguard , you have the triple clamp bolts started a few threads only. You then tighten all three alternatively until they are all cinched up,then torque the triple clamp bolts lastly.
You can see that yup, it's a tight fit but fit they do.
