Going to the sand dunes this wknd. I've never ridden in sand, right now my bike (450R) is setup for trail riding. Should I adjust my compression/rebound for riding in the sand?

I've heard set the front hard and rear soft and it will make a big difference. Does that sound right... Also is that talking about compression, rebound, or both?

I set the compression in the front to almost full hard and the compression in the rear to almost full soft. Left the rebound alone.

Made a huge difference in the sand, much more stable. So stable in fact I forgot to lower the air pressure in my tires which is also supposed to help.
