    by matthewrogerson13@hotmail » Sat Dec 29, 2012 2:52 am

Hey guys My names matt i live in wollongong NSW. recently i went for a 2 day ride with a friend over some pretty rocky and rough tracks in the old yalwal mines are we both ride a crf250x mine is 04 his is 08 my mate dropped his bike quite a few times atleast 30 plus times hahahaha and after the ride we noticed quite alot of coolant missing from the system and the bike will no longer idle without the choke.i was just looking to see if anyone could shed some light on the problem before i pull his bike apart.

yeah when the hot start is open they wont idle and when u drop them you can damage the clutch perch and it can get jammed open also make sure cable is free and working well if thats not the prob check for any air leaks at the carb also if you have been in any water drop the plug from the bottom of the bowl ane run some fuel through

she seems to be running fine just wont idle im thinking the idle screw may have got knocked around and the loss of coolant could be due to dropping so so many times

turned out to be a sticky hot tart combined with a slightly blocked pilot jet
