New member. Supermoto street legal build project

Hey guys. New to the two wheel world. I ride a 05 trx450r that is setup for MX and dunes. I recently bought an 07 crf450r frame and swingarm.
I've been searching throught threads and have picked up some basic knowledge so far.

Just wondering what parts are interchangable between the crf and trx. I've considered parting my trx out to help out this build. Just not sure on that yet.

What about putting my trx engine in the 07 crf frame? Pipe fitment, engine angle, carb issues probably?

The build will take a little time. Thanks for any info!

    Welcome to the site!

Virtually nothing is interchangeable between your TRX and your CRF.

I didn't think much was interchangable ( was hoping though). If I part out my quad I'll keep my WC perch, ASV brake lever, renthal bars, powermadd handguards. I read I could use front brake from trx on supermoto front wheel.

I have a taper bored fcr 42.5mm carb with merge alj, r&d fuel screw.

I have a HCII cam in my quad that says will work with 02-06 crf. Not sure what yr. motor i'm going with yet.

There's a guy selling a clarke tank locally. Are they yr. specific depending on what motor, radiator I go with on an 07 frame?

Can I put an engine from 05-08 in the 07 frame with no problems? X motor?

Thanks again for my newb questions.

The TRX master cylinder was a pretty popular swap most of the supermoto guys were doing. I figured if it was good enough for Bostrom back in the day, it was good enough for me!
