Increasing suspension trail -- supermoto with 12" wheels

    by dharsay » Sun Oct 28, 2018 6:52 pm

Bike is set up well for Supermoto but I want to increase trail. Any offset triples and offset axle lugs available? I need a big change.

Currently has about 28mm offset at axle lug, plus another 28mm offset at OEM triple clamp... at about 28 degrees of rake and 235mm front tire radius, that's only about 62mm of trail. Way too short. With 17" supermoto wheel setup (296mm front tire radius) it's fine at 94mm trail, but needs less offset.

    Ideas appreciated.

Hello, yes until members have 5 or more posts they have to be approved and it is only visible to the poster and the moderator. That controls the incredible amount of spam that tries to infiltrate the forum.

As for the question - Ken the site owner has a beautiful SM 450 and hopefully he will chime in here and give you some advice or you can send him a PM.
