Any ladies wear the Alpinestar Stella Tech 3's?

    by Riley » Sat Mar 21, 2009 2:10 pm

My wife is looking at these boots, but she could only find the mens Tech 3's and weren't quite a good fit.

She didn't like the womens Fox Comp 5's.

    Any suggestions?

She doesn't really have wide feet, and she may not like the price Gaernes. She's looking about $200 or so.

I don't want her in a $50 leather MX boot like Flys, but don't know if she needs the real high end boots.

We're hoping to get to a dealer that has more than one or two styles and sizes.

    Thanks!

That's the other hard part, she wears 8 in shoes but an 8 in ladies Fox was way to tight. The 9 was good, but the ankle wasn't comfortable.

The 9 in the Tech 3's mens was way to big, but the 8's fit her pretty well. Not having half sizes makes it tough. The old Fox Forma's of mine are mens 7 and are just a touch small in length.

I hate to order boots, as they all fit different and converting from the men's 8 to a womens 10 isn't always correct.

She was wearing a good boot sock though, rather than cotton, which is good. She likes the thought of the womens boots being a little shorter.

    Thanks!

I have a pair of Thor Quadrants, I believe is what they are called.

I've had the Aplinestars before, and I feel these are about the most comfortable boot I have had.

And they were cheap! I paid $130 at Bert's.

    However, they are men boots.

I have a pair of men's Thor Quadrants in mens size 8 as well. I tried on probably 6 or 7 brands of both mens and womens. My impression of the womens were that they mostly had only 3 buckles instead of 4 and felt thinner and cheaper, but maybe they didn't have any of the high-end womens when I was there. Don't be afraid to get a men's boot that fits just because it's for a man. They just seem to have more protection.

I have the stella tech 3s and I swear by them. They don't feel cheap at all. They're very comfortable and durable as well. I will only wear women's boots cus I like the way they fit.
