Ride @ Rock Creek OHV trail in Ga

    by krisrtch » Thu Nov 27, 2008 10:36 am

Well took my boys out riding in the woods for the first time ever this morning on a 4.5 miles trek. My youngings had a few problems on the steep rocky down hills. but both boys nd bikes made it out alive. I could defiantly tell that I have the wrong tire on my 450R I was sliding and spinning all morning. but the mud holes where a blast. Here are a few pics of our ride.
    Are we done yet?

Yupers no one was out there except for hunters and they where on the way in not on the trail. Except for one guy who came off of the trail shortly after we did as we where loading up.

whenever I come across hunters they always look so pissed. I think they would be a lot happier if they would trade in the ATV and throw the gun rack on a CRF 450.

This one came out in a ranger. Which we saw on teh trail. We also saw a dead ATV too. you could tell it had been there awhile if I would had another adult with me could have some home with all kinds of dead toys to rejuvinate.

Another good place for smaller riders near there is rocky flats orv. It`s pretty tame for big bikes but my kids use to like it, no hills but twisty with some waterbreaks.

Head towards Cleveland on 411, in Crandell turn on Sumerour church rd. (i think thats the spelling, it`s been years), about a mile the road will fork, turn to the right. That road ends and you take a left, this will turn into a gravel road that leads to Cuhutta lake go 31/2 miles and trail will be first road to the right. Really no parking, just cross the little bridge and park out of the way.

Hey man!! I am going to Rocky Creek later this summer for the first time. Is it a nice place with plenty of tracks/trails? My parents have UTVs they ride out there and would like me to go with them. The last time I went with them I went to Broad River and put my bike under water about 5 times!!!! had to rebuild it after that trip. I don't think the bike like water that much!!! it is a CRF250R...

    Let me know

    Thanks
