For 180LBS. I'd consider keeping it stock. Doug

I'm 190 lbs , my suspesion is still stock and work's great. since it's going to be a off road/trail bike, stock suspension is very plush for that type of riding..

    I 2nd that doug...

Stock suspension sounds great...Of course maybe some tweaking of the Rebound and compression settings. Ernie

I love the stock suspension but could it be better, yes. I think sending it out to get the best possible suspension is a good idea. It is something I would do if I had Dougs money. What are the best shops to do this Race Tech, ESP?

We'll I went to Factory Connection and I couldn't believe the difference. They got me totally hooked up and lots of bling to boot. Part of my selection was based on the fact they were with the factory Honda team right now and Doug's research showed they were the only company that was using the correct sized front Spring for the X. The others are using a shorter spring and a spacer. Even in one of the dirt bike magazines they sent their X to Factory Connection and said it made a difference. That's my vote!!!

I second factory connection. They really know off road suspenion and honda bikes. Stock is good but it can be much much better. They did mine too...

Factory Connection has an excellent reputation I think that would be a great choice.

i'm in agreement with those recommending suspension work. the stock suspension is good but nothing compares to a tuned suspension. i've not used factory connection before...always used rg3 with great results.
