Trying to figure out my dads quad for him. its a 2004 rancher es starts and runs good at idle. ran fine then went to use it on one of the first colder days and it started and ran fine for about 10 min till it warmed up then wanted to bogg out when a load is put on it or simply trying to go up a hill. just trying to get some input before i tear into it im thinkn could be cold/fuel related or a wire is grounding out somwere?

Summer fuel in the winter doesn't work well when it is really cold. There may be frozen water in the carb/fuel system. That's the first place I would dive into.
