    I use this http://www.promotobillet.com/catalog/pr ... ucts_id=31

It's easy to install. You'll be done in 20 minutes if you have a heat gun. Not sure if that's what you're looking for.

I think he is looking for something for the X. I don't think there is anything like what he is asking for. Perhaps someone has seen something and will chime in here.

I went to their web site and requested one. If we all do they will have to build it. With the 3 mounting bolts on the back of the exhaust it can't be that hard. :)

is the stock exhaust that much different between the R and X?

It's not the 3 mounting bolts on the back. You have to drill out the rivets and pull the old exhaust tip off, then you rivet the new tip on and then you attatch the red piece on with the 3 allen heads. Nonetheless how different are the exhaust's ?

From what I can tell they are very different. The X is much bigger around and a different shape. Darn them. :)

sorry man good thought but taken. I feel like an idiot but I cannot remeber which user took a r pipe and put it on an x. But if anyone knows who i am talking about, please post.

I have an 05 x and I put and 05 R exhaust on it with a promoto s/a. Cut my airbox, pinkwire jetted. It is awesome, with the optional quiet screen not too loud but not an FMF Q or stock. Plus it only cost me $150!

I bought an 05 450R can and put it on, it definitely opened up the top end with the airbox and carb mods, though it still needs a spark arrestor tip installed. Its not lighter then the stocker but it was cheap. I believe only the 05 fits the X.

check Ebay because there is a guy that makes a billet spark arrestor tip for the x exhaust, think its around 40.00.
