I respect the heck out of all who can play. I sure can't but love to listen.
I absolutely loathe what passes for music and talent , with simpleton morons like Britney Spears and her ilk who can't read, write, compose, or sing....all of them suck.
As far as bands, what are some of yall favorites?

There's so much depending on mood. Sometimes I'll listen to really classic old stuff like Led Zeppelin or The Who just for example, and more than just the same three songs from each one of them that we hear on the radio ad nauseum.....that happens so much on so called "Classic Rock" stations. Well it amazes me just how talented these people were and are, the creativity and ability is just amazing. I put on Aerosmiths 1973 and 1974 first two CD's, man could those guys do it.
There's a lot of material that was never a huge commercial sucess too that is just great. For instance I found a 1975 Roxy Music CD. Wow is that some good, very original music.
There's a lot out there, but if could be considerd "pop" it freakin' blows, if it's rap the boredom with the sub-ape intellect and pubescent posturing is stupefying.
Please, spare me the "well, so and so is an intelligent rapper  "
On some network news program the perky hosts were making reference to the deep social commentary of "50 cent". On the radio I hear this modern day Aristotle rapping/mumbling as follows -"I can ride you and you can ride me". Alrighty. Case closed. Doug

We should ougta get us a Rock n roll band together.

I bought a Roland 30X cube amp, And have my eyes on a Gibson Les Paul studio.

This music thing is really cutting into my motocross  But if I knew how fun it was I would have started playing a long tine ago.

Sort of dredging up an old thread, but....

UPS just delivered today my new (to me) fully upgraded and highly anticipated Moog Minimoog Voyager Signature Edition!
I've just finished about 4 hours of playing. This is actually better than the Minimoog D I had in the 80's. The sound is the same and there are soo many new features!

It's almost gonna be a drag going riding Sunday instead of playing it more.

Woot!Woot! Hammonds, Moog and ARPs! I love being in my music room!
Use only Genuine Interocitor Parts.06 250X Flatlands skid and rad guards. Clarke 3.1 gal tank. Cycra Probends, Rekluse Pro, correct springs. Horn, mirror, brake/tail/license lights and a hanger for the plate. That is all.

We have a whole little set up in my families basement... I use all of it occasionally but I have played guitar for about 9 years. My dad majored in classical in college so he taught me for the first couple years. Then I switched to other lessons.

We have the whole band set up, keyboard, drums, guitars, amps, mic's, everything.. I'll post pics later if anyone wants.

It's a bummer, my friends and I had a mini band going but sports go so in the way we haven't done anything in a long time. This makes me wanna start again...
